UFPE has 70 undergraduate courses and 175 postgraduate courses. UFPE has 35,000 students and 2000 professors. The university has three campuses: Recife, Vit\u00f3ria de Santo Ant\u00e3o, and Caruaru. Its main campus, Campus Reitor Joaquim Amazonas, is located in western Recife, in the \u201cCidade Universit\u00e1ria\u201d neighbourhood. Dept. of Physics is a pioneer in advances of phenomena such as Spin Seebeck effect in ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic insulators; Spin-to-charge conversion in graphene, topological insulators, and 2D semiconductors are their main research lines.
